Fire Calls

The Petaluma Fire Department received 31 medical and 63 fire or other emergency calls from Feb.11 through Feb. 17. Here are some of the incidents:
Tuesday, Feb. 12
8:54 a.m. — Units headed to the southbound lanes of Highway 101 at Old Redwood Highway for a motor vehicle accident. One person had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
1:28 p.m. — Firefighters responded to an accident at 6th Street and D Street. Three people sustained minor injuries and two were taken to the hospital.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
11:35 a.m. — Firefighters were called to 949 Chileno Valley Rd. for a motor vehicle accident. One man was taken to the hospital.
Thursday, Feb. 14
6:55 a.m. — Firefighters were called to Ely Boulevard South at East Washington Street for a vehicle accident. Two patients were taken to the hospital.
Friday, Feb. 15
10:56 a.m — Firefighters responded to an accident at Lakeville Street and Caulfield Lane. An adult female bike rider had been hit by a large delivery truck. The woman was being cared for by bystanders in front of a Chevron gas station when firefighters arrived. She was alert and oriented but appeared to be in mild distress after being hit by a large delivery truck that was making a turn at the intersection at a low speed. She was taken to the hospital.
