Riley Scott ranked among top youth swimmers

<p>Petaluman Riley Scott continued her climb up the youth swimming ladder by placing third in the 200-yard breaststroke at the NCSA Junior National swimming championships. Representing the Marin Pirates, Scott swam a new personal best of 2:12.19 in the championship final. </p><p>Scott, a sophomore at Petaluma High School, also took fourth in the 100-yard breast and sixth in the 50-yard breast.</p><p>Her times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke rank her in the top 10 in the country in the 15-16 age group. </p><p>Additionally, Scott finished 23th in the 200 individual medley, posting a 2:03.82, and competed on three different relays events with two top-10 finishes.</p><p>Thel meet was held March 12-16 in Orlando. </p><p>Scott will next focus on her high school season, looking for qualification for the North Coast Section Championships in May. As a freshman, she finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke at NCS and achieved High School All-American status.</p>
