Grill 116: On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., wineries of Route 116 are hosting Grill 116, with wine, barbecue and classic cars.
Here's how it works. You pony up the admission fee — $45 for the general public, $35 for wine club members, $10 for designated drives — and then meander from winery to winery, enjoying yummy grilled foods paired with delicious wines and admiring restored vintage cars. Participating wineries include Balletto Vineyards and Winery (5700 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa), Dutton Estate Winery (8757 Green Valley Road, Sebastopol), Graton Ridge Cellars (3561 Gravenstein Highway North, Sebastopol), Hanna Vineyards and Winery (5353 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa), Hook & Ladder (104 Main St., Sebastopol), Martin Ray Winery (2191 Laguna Road, Santa Rosa), Russian River Vineyards (5700 Gravenstein Highway North, Forestville) and Taft Street Winery (2030 Barlow Lane, Sebastopol).

Second annual Dog Days of Summer: On Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Trentadue Winery (19170 Geyserville Ave., Geyserville) hosts a benefit for the Sonoma Humane Society.
The event features several food trucks, a photo booth, dog training, a dog agility course, toys, accessories, contests and more. The entire family is invited and a portion of the proceeds will support our local humane society.
Advance reservations, available at trentadue.com through Saturday, are $15; you'll pay $20 at the door. The price includes a wine glass, unlimited wine tastings, a gift for your pup and a tasting at the Wine Club Bar. Designated drivers pay $5.
Dog hike at Kunde: On Saturday, Jeff Kunde will lead a moderately strenuous hike through the 1,850-acre Kunde Family Estate (9825 Sonoma Highway, Kenwood) and your pup is invited.
The hike begins at 9 a.m. at the Kunde Family Estate Tasting Room and concludes with a wine tasting and lunch, along with a water bar and treats for the dogs. Children over 10 are invited. Allow four hours.
