Chris Messina has resigned as president and CEO of the Napa Chamber of Commerce.
Brian Kelly, a former board chair at the chamber, will serve as consulting CEO while the chamber recruits a permanent leader.
Messina joined the chamber in January 2012 after serving as the CEO of the Foster City Chamber of Commerce. Previously, he served as executive director of Santa Rosa Main Street, a downtown business promotion group, and managed the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce’s advocacy program.
“I’ve enjoyed my time at the Chamber, and feel honored to have been a part of the Napa Chamber turnaround story, but I am looking forward to spending more time with my family,” Messina said in a statement.
Under his tenure, the chamber implemented a tiered dues structure, enhanced services for its members, re-branded the chamber and organized the first Women in Technology and Business Conference.
