Jeff Farnsworth has been promoted to president of Steward Property Services, replacing the company's founder, Helen Loorya, who will remain CEO. Previously, he served as vice president and general manager of the Petaluma company, which manages homeowner associations.

Ronald Kent has joined Advanced Security Systems as a senior security consultant. Previously, he served as general manager at Binkley Alarm and founded Safeguard.

Pat McCarty has joined Bank of Marin as first vice president and special assets manager. He has more than 35 years of experience in financial services, most recently serving as senior vice president and business banking manager for Umpqua Bank in Novato. Before that, McCarty was senior vice president and chief credit officer of Circle Bank, also in Novato.

Windy Swindt has joined Redwood Credit Union as a marketing and campaign specialist. Previously, she was a project manager at Boylan Point Agency, a Santa Rosa marketing and advertising agency.

Creative Property Services has added three new real estate agents to its Sebastopol office: Denice Cull, Mark Ciddio and Patricia Brown.

John M. Cruse has launched Cruse Investments. Previously, he worked as an investment advisor at LPL Financial and Wells Fargo Investments.

Tom Scott, general manager of Oliver's Markets, has joined the Community First Credit Union board of directors. He replaces Jim Leddy, who left the county to become chief administrative officer for Mono County.

The Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy has elected new officers to its board of directors: Larry Robinson, board chair; Peter Rumble, vice chair; Val Hinshaw, treasurer; and Elizabeth McCarthy, secretary. The institute provides educational programs to improve awareness of policies that lead to sustainability.
