There was no obvious evidence of foul play in the death of a man found Tuesday in the Russian River, said a Sonoma County Coroner’s official.
Coroner’s investigators have identified the man but weren’t releasing his name Wednesday morning as investigators still were attempting to contact the man’s kin, said Sgt. Greg Stashyn.
Two fishermen spotted the body Tuesday morning, caught up in bushes along the river’s edge.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, said Stashyn.
