  • Dr. Richard Carvolth has been named chief medical officer at St. Joseph Health Sonoma County

Dr. Richard Carvolth has been named chief medical officer at St. Joseph Health Sonoma County, replacing Dr. John Morrison. Dr. Carvolth has worked for 31 years as an emergency physician at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. In addition, he served as senior medical director at the Stanford University Healthcare Association's Affinity Medical Division. Previously, he was CEO of TeamHealth's West Coast division.

Montgomery Taylor & Company has hired two new employees.

Alan Wingate has joined the Santa Rosa accounting firm as a tax advisor. He founded A&K Bookkeeping and has more than 10 years of experience in accounting, tax preparation and asset management.

Seth Howland has joined the company as an executive associate. Previously, he was a guest services associate at Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds.

Caryn Fagundes has joined Wells Fargo Insurance in Petaluma as an account executive in the Employee Benefits department. She has been involved with human resources and employee benefits for more than 15 years, most recently with Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. in Novato.

Lonnie Vincent has joined Summit Electric Inc. as an electrical project manager. Previously, he worked as an independent electrical contractor and served as lead service electrician at Summit Electric for 10 years.

Dr. Greg Thigpen has moved his psychology practice to a new office at 930 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa. In addition to providing therapy for teens, couples and families, Dr. Thigpen is currently serving as president of the Redwood Psychological Association.

The Santa Rosa Parks Foundation has elected new board members: Melinda Rivera, president; Rose Zoia, vice president; Kathleen Mullins Henderson, secretary; and Tony Valluzio, treasurer. Ken Cyphers, Anita Anderson and Karen Wirsing have been appointed as outreach and fundraising coordinators.

Santa Rosa Republican Women Federated has elected officers for 2014: Rosalie Parks, president; Karen Moyers, 1st vice president; Nancy Maier, 2nd vice president; Joan Baker, secretary; and Andrea Geary, treasurer. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Flamingo Hotel, 2777 Fourth St., Santa Rosa.
