Rynders named consulting winemaker at Jackson Family Wines
Jackson Family Wines announced that Tony Rynders will be consulting winemaker for its Zena Crown property in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Rynders will work closely with winemaker Shane Moore, who relocated to Oregon in early 2013. Both Rynders and Moore share expertise crafting Oregon pinot noir, the company said in a news release.
Rynders has more than 20 years of experience producing wines in the Willamette Valley and Moore had focused on pinot noir as associate winemaker at La Crema.
“Tony’s concentration on the luxury wine category and his experience as one of the top winemakers in Oregon made him the perfect fit for us,” said Barbara Banke, proprietor of Jackson Family Wines, in a statement.
The Zena Crown vineyard is planted with 80 acres of pinot noir.
