William Atkins has joined Calix as executive vice president and chief financial officer, replacing Michael Ashby, who is retiring. Previously, Atkins was a senior partner at Fairfax Media Partners and CFO of Rivada Networks International. He also served as CFO of Intelsat and held various positions at Morgan Stanley.

Santa Rosa resident Cheryl Heller has joined Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. as a senior account manager for employee benefits in the firm’s Novato office. Previously, she held a similar position at Vantreo Insurance Brokerage.

Ruth Edwards has joined Bank of Marin as its commercial banking regional manager in Napa. Previously, she served as senior vice president and regional manager for Mechanics Bank in Napa.

Kathie Jacobson has joined Sunny Hills Services as chief operating officer, overseeing the nonprofit agency’s programs in Sonoma, Marin and Alameda counties. Previously, she was COO at Fred Finch Youth Center in Oakland.

Matthew Clasen and Ashley Dryden have joined Quintessential Wines as sales representatives for the Napa import, marketing and sales company. Clasen will serve Sonoma and Marin counties and north San Francisco. Dryden will serve Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and north Sonoma counties.

Diane Gleim, a licensed marriage and family therapist, has opened her own private practice at 320 10th St., Suite 302 in Santa Rosa. She provides individual and couples psychotherapy to adults for a wide array of sexuality-related issues.

Climate Protection Campaign has elected new officers for its 2014 board of directors: Jane Bender, former mayor of Santa Rosa, president; Dick Dowd, CEO of Pinnacle Homes, vice president; Chris Call, CEO of Call Capital, treasurer; and Jim McGreen, former CEO of Zap Power Systems, secretary.

The Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmer’s Market has appointed its 2014 board of directors. Officers include Dennis Dunn, Franco’s One World Sausage, president; Zureal Bernier, Bernier Farms, vice president; Min-Hee Hill, Min-Hee Hill Gardens, treasurer; and Jocelyn Brabyn, Salmon Creek Ranch, secretary. Directors include Libby Batzel, Beet Generation Farms; Paul Kaiser, Singing Frogs Farm; and Ross Bevier, My Wild Iris Rows.

David Solo, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties, has joined the board of directors at the Petaluma Health Center.

Kevin Sprenger, owner of Sprenger’s Tap Room, has joined the board of directors at Greenacre Homes & School in Sebastopol.
