The list of potential victims in Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme numbers 13,500.
The names were made public in bankruptcy court filings through a 163-page list. The list includes anyone who responded to advertisements placed by the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of the firm, and not every name on the list is necessarily a victim of Madoff's reputed scheme.
There also was no indication how much money, if any, each customer invested.
