A hearing Thursday on celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s proposed winery west of Santa Rosa was canceled due to heavy rains and flooding affecting Sonoma County.

The Board of Zoning Adjustments meeting will be rescheduled for a date in January, county officials said.

The zoning board was set to meet at 1 p.m. to once again take up Fieri’s plans for a 10,000-case winery on Willowside Road. The project has drawn fire from neighbors concerned about traffic and noise impacting their rural neighborhood.

The zoning board in April postponed voting on the proposal after hearing neighbors protest the plans, which now call for 14 events per year, wine tasting by appointment on weekdays and public tasting on weekends.

Representatives for Fieri say the project has been downsized to address some of the neighbors’ concerns.
