Large job fair planned at Santa Rosa Junior College

More than 50 area businesses, nonprofit groups and government agencies will meet with job seekers next week.|

More than 50 area businesses, nonprofit groups and government agencies will meet with job seekers Wednesday at Santa Rosa Junior College’s 2015 Career Expo.

The event, sponsored by the college’s Career Development Services, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Santa Rosa campus in the Dining Commons and Student Activities Center of the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center.

Those who attend will be able to speak with employers and gather information about jobs, internships and volunteer positions.

Participating companies include Sonic, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Sutter Health, Biosearch Technologies, Top Speed Data Communications, Robert Half International, Mesa Beverage Co., UPS, Exchange Bank, Kaiser Permanente and KRCB North Bay Public Media.

At the event, career development professionals will give “career talks” each hour on such topics as current career trends, interview attire and best practices for getting noticed.

Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of resumes and to dress as if going to a job interview.
