Police seek help identifying suspected burglar in Petaluma

Authorities say the mystery man stole laptops from an east Petaluma business.|

Petaluma police have released photos of a suspected burglar who broke into an eastside business and are hoping someone will recognize him and pass on his identity.

Surveillance video taken at BioSearch Technologies on South McDowell Boulevard on Thursday night caught images of the man, Sgt. Ron Klein reported in a news release.

The burglary occurred between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Company officials determined three laptops were taken, police said.

Photos show a man wearing blue coveralls and police suggested he may have put those on after getting into the business so that he’d blend in as other people were working at the time. He also appeared to be attempting to partially cover his face with one arm.

Klein asked anyone with information to contact police at 707-778-4372.
