Napa Smith Brewery to expand to Vallejo, Nashville

Napa Smith Brewery announced Tuesday that it will expand its operations outside of Napa to two new facilities, one located in Vallejo and another in Nashville.

Napa Smith said it expects to open its Vallejo plant by the end of the year. It also will enter into a partnership with Turtle Anarchy Brewing Co. in Nashville to start production this July.

R.S. Lipman Co., the parent company of Napa Smith, said in a statement that its current production is at its limit, creating a need for additional growth. Napa Smith will be the smallest independent U.S. brewery that will have bicoastal operations.

The move comes after Stone Brewing Co. of Escondido, the 10th largest craft brewer in the nation, announced last month that it was building a taproom and brewery in Napa.
