Homebuyers seeking a spot in the country can bid next month on a 1,745-acre ranch in Redwood Valley that includes a spacious Victorian-style residence and up to 75 acres of land suited for wine grapes.

The minimum bid for the East Ranch will be $3 million. The property recently was listed with an asking price of $8 million, according to a news release.

The Mendocino County ranch features a 7,500-square foot residence built in 1997. The house includes five bedrooms, four bathrooms and 2½ baths. The property also has a separate office/studio of 760 square feet and a three-car garage.

The land has 21 ponds and four natural springs. An orchard offers apples, pears, peaches, nectarines and pluots.
