(2 of ) In nineteenth place is Stryker, a medical technology company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. "It takes someone who is willing to go above and beyond with a smile on their face to create products that will change people's lives," said one staff member.
(3 of ) Workday, financial management and tech company, based in Pleasanton, California came in as number eighteen. Employees raved about how encourages its staff to volunteer, granting them a $500 donation to any charity they wish if they volunteer 25 hours.
(4 of ) At seventeenth place is Capital One, with headquarters based in Mclean, Virginia. “There's no pressure to fit into a cookie-cutter ‘banker’ mold,” one employee said, “Diversity of thought and person is encouraged.”
(5 of ) The 100% employee-earned engineering firm Burns & McDonnell came in at sixteenth place. Employees rave about the emphasis on collaborative teamwork in the entire firm, where "selfishness gets you nowhere."
(6 of ) In fifteenth place is the data analytics firm SAS with headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. . SAS offers childcare, dry cleaning, haircuts, and a pharmacy, all located in the building. "They simply want to make life easy and carefree for us," said one employee.
(7 of ) Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants came in at 14th place. The pet-friendly hotel chain’s employees love the support for diversity, flexible work schedules, lack of hierarchy, and promote-from-within culture. "Uniqueness is valued and opinions are always listened to," said one employee.
(8 of ) Intuit, based in Mountain View, California, came ii at thirteenth place. Staff members enjoy the 24/7 on-site gym and access to a variety of health resources. Moreover, one employee said, "this job is a blessing."
(9 of ) In twelfth place, KPMG. Employees appreciate the amount of training they recieve, as well as the access to a variety of mentors. One staff member said: "We're in a constantly changing environment where staff is empowered to keep learning."
(10 of ) In eleventh place came the design-consultancy form Kimley-Horn (headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina). Employees surveyed, talk about that senior staff members don't feel like bosses but instead feel like mentors and friends. The surveyed employees also referred to great pay and growth opportunities.
(11 of ) In tenth place, the online lender company Quicken Loans (headquarters in Detroit, Colorado). Employees enjoy the "great feeling" of being able to provide affordable home loans to the customers. In addition, the staff gets to have some fun like riding hoverboards and receiving over 1,500 event tickets a year.
(12 of ) In ninth place came the causalty insurer Acuity (headquarters in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.) The surveyed employees are inspired by their "sense of purpose and responsibility." The staff also likes the power of choosing charities to donate to.
(13 of ) Eighth place went to Bay Area's Salesforce. The staff has a big attachment to their CEO, Marc Benioff, who "Is the soul of the company and truly leads by example," said one employee. Staffers gush over the "Ohana" vibes the company has, "that embraces innovation and equality".
(14 of ) Ultimate Software, that makes HR software placed seventh. "The love for one another is felt throughout this organization", said one employee (the company has headquarters in Weston, Florida.) In addition, Ultimate Software offers "wonderful benefits, supportive management, and an amazing work environment," said another employee.
(15 of ) In sixth place is Bay Area's Genentech. "We are a very fun company, but at the end of the day we all know our part in the mission," said one employee.
(16 of ) Financial investment giant Edward Jones, (based in St. Louis, Missouri) placed fifth. “Everyone is willing to help someone else to be successful,” said one staffer. Also, employees love the amount of training they get that they say help them grow in their fields.
(17 of ) Investment firm Baird received fourth place with its famous “no a**holes” policy (headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). With two-thirds of of employees being shareholders, one employee said, "everyone is playing the same game and we're all equal contributors."
(18 of ) In third place came the Boston Consulting Group. Employees love the opportunities of growth that Boston Consulting Group offer as well as good benefits.
(19 of ) The East Coast grocery chain Wegmans Food Markets came in at second. "There's a lot of love and caring," said one employee. Employees also refer to the small things, like receiving a free birthday cake on your birthday or getting free hot chocolate during the winter season.
(20 of ) Bay Area's Google is on first place again, for the 6th straight time. Employees refer to the sense of community and equality that Google offers, as well as the great benefits.
