A 16-year-old girl was flown to Children's Hospital Oakland after she suffered major injuries in a dirt bike accident on a private track in Sebastopol, the CHP said.

The injuries were not life-threatening, according to CHP Sgt. Ross Ingels.

The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. at a property on East Hurlbut Avenue, where the CHP said several homeowners had built a small dirt track with jumps. The girl crashed after trying to make a jump, Ingels said.

She was taken by ambulance to Analy High school and then flown by helicopter to Oakland.

CHP is investigating the crash, which didn't involve any other vehicles. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
