A Lower Lake man has been arrested on drug charges and a federal warrant after his erratic driving on attracted the attention of a Lake County sheriff's deputy.
While patrolling Highway 29 on March 27, the deputy saw a pickup truck about 100 yards in front of him take a sudden left turn onto another road.
After catching up with the truck on Seigler Canyon Road, the deputy found that its driver, 43-year-old William Anthony Bond of Lower Lake, did not have a driver's license and had a federal warrant for his arrest, according to a press release.
Bond also had two baggies with more than an ounce of methamphetamine tucked into his belt line.
The deputy arrested Bond on the federal warrant, possession of a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance.
He booked Bond into Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
