A Chico man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder was arrested at a home on the western border of Santa Rosa Monday.
Demetrius Coleman, 33, had a warrant out for his arrest from the Chico area when he was interviewed during a routine probation check by a CHP officer assigned to the Sonoma County Probation Department.
Coleman was found sitting in a car on Chico Avenue just west of Santa Rosa on Monday. A search of the vehicle uncovered Ecstasy tablets and a loaded semiautomatic gun, according to the CHP.
Coleman was booked on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, parole violations, providing false information and identification to officers and the attempted murder warrant.
The other person sitting in the car, Denise Linck, 32, of San Pablo, was booked for possession of Ecstasy.
