Detectives found marijuana, methamphetamine and guns in the residence of a Lakeport man while his three-year-old child was at home, the Lake County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

Detectives showed up on Friday morning with a search warrant to the home of Carlos Ponce, 31, on the 300 block of 16th Street in Lakeport. After announcing themselves and hearing no response, the deputies forced their way into the home.

Inside the home they found Ponce, Laura Ann Flores, 28, and their 3-year-old child.

They also found a plastic bucket filled with processed marijuana, a plastic bag filled with about one pound of processed marijuana, two 12-gauge shotguns and a high capacity drum magazine. Also in the home were 1.8 grams of packaged methamphetamine and a glass pipe. In Ponce's car they found about 25 hydrocodone pills. At some point they found $504.

Ponce and Flores were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and child endangerment. Both were booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
