Get totally bugged out in Santa Rosa on Wednesday during Sonoma County Grape Day, featuring presentations on a range of pests and diseases that threaten crops.
Topics to be covered include the leafhopper, grapevine red blotch disease and new technology to measure vineyard water use.
Grape Day is sponsored by Sonoma County Winegrowers and presented by the University of California Cooperative Extension.
The event is from 8 a.m. to noon at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Road, Santa Rosa. Check-in and breakfast begin at 7 a.m. Pre-register by noon Monday for $35 online at www.ucanr.org/scgrapeday. On-site registration is $45 (check or cash only).
