Petaluma drivers have a new bridge to cross over Highway 101 at Petaluma Boulevard North/ Old Redwood Highway.

The California Highway Patrol announced Tuesday that traffic has been moved from the old bridge to the new one, permanently closing the old structure.

The old onramps to Highway 101 have also been closed, so drivers will need to use the new left turn lanes and left turn traffic lights to access the clover onramp to Highway 101, according to the CHP.

Police are advising motorists to drive with caution through the area because of the changed conditions.
