A Kelseyville couple was arrested early Friday morning after a search of their residence by the Lake County Sheriff's Dept. found a pound of methamphetamine and a firearm, officials said.

James Russell Samson, 44, and Susan Nalani Samson, 46, were arrested after the sheriff's Narcotics Task Force searched on a warrant issued Feb. 20 and served shortly after 7 a.m. Friday.

Both were transported to the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and booked for possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Because the couple's two-year-old child was in the house, Susan Samson was also booked for child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia, a glass meth pipe, the sheriff's office said.

A loaded revolver, found inside a safe in the master bedroom, was seized as evidence for further investigation.
