A Santa Rosa man was arrested in connection with the November theft of a motorcycle after he took the bike on Friday to the store from which it was stolen, police said.

Santa Rosa police were called to Santa Rosa Power Sports on Santa Rosa Avenue around 2:45 p.m. after a sales clerk reported that two men in the store might be trying to purchase a part for a stolen motorcycle, which was outside in the back of the men's truck, police said.

While police were on their way, the men left in the truck, police said. Police found the truck and motorcycle nearby, but not the men.

With the help of Sonoma County Sheriff's helicopter Henry 1, the two men were found not far away, one on Santa Rosa Avenue and the other in the backyard of a house.

One of the men, Fogatia Fuiava, 21, of Santa Rosa, was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail on charges of possessing stolen propery, violation of probation and violation of parole.

The motorcycle was stolen from the Power Sports store Nov. 5 during a burglary.
