Fleeing burglary suspect arrested at Santa Rosa business

Santa Rosa police caught a suspected burglar inside a westside business with the help of a police dog, police reported Thursday.

Officers were alerted to a possible burglary at a North Dutton Avenue business at about 10:20 p.m.

As officers pulled up they spotted a man in the closed business and the man spotted them, said Sgt. Marcus Sprague.

He ran further inside where he attempted to elude officers but was found with the help of Duke, a police dog.

Officers arrested Cy Wesley Baker, 34, on suspicion of burglary, violating his probation and resisting arrest.

The business, which Sprague didn't identify, was in the 1200 block of North Dutton Avenue.
