A Willits woman and her former boyfriend have been arrested on suspicion of molesting one of the woman's family members almost a decade ago, sheriff's and District Attorney Office authorities said Friday.
Jacqueline Vanbezooyen, 48, of Willits and Charles Griswould, 68, of Utah were arrested Thursday on suspicion of continuous sexual abuse of a minor and child endangerment, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office. The victim was under the age of 10 at the time, authorities said.
Vanbezooyen facilitated the abuse, allowing Griswould to sexually abuse the child while she performed sex acts on him, authorities said.
The incidents took place in Mendocino County between 2005 and 2006, authorities said.
Vanbezooyen is a former daycare provider, but sheriff's officials said they have no evidence any other child was molested.
Vanbezooyen was booked into the Mendocino County jail.
Griswould was arrested in Spring City, Utah, where he'd moved some years ago, sheriff's authorities said.
He's awaiting extradition to Mendocino County at the Manti, Utah jail.
Bail for each is set at $400,000.
Sheriff's officials ask that anyone with information about the case contact the office at 234-2100.
