Five vying for local Dairy Princess title

Five young women will compete for the title of Dairy Princess at the upcoming District 3 Dairy Princess Contest & Ball on April 5 in Petaluma.

The contestants are Casa Grande High's Ellorine Carle of Penngrove; Tomales High's Julianna Bibee of Petaluma; Petaluma High's Jeannette Downer-Lanatti of Petaluma; and two Analy High students, Gianna Pendleton and Gina Piccinini, both of Sebastopol.

The winner will represent the dairy industry in Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties.

The event will be held at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 1094 Petaluma Blvd. S. Doors will open at 6 p.m., followed by the contest at 7 p.m. and a buffet dinner and dance at 8:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, contact Judy Buttke at dist3dairyprincess@yahoo.com.
