A 19-year-old driver was arrested Saturday night following a high-speed chase in northwest Santa Rosa, police said.
Police did not release the suspect's name. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony evading, misdemeanor hit and run and driving without a license.
The incident began at about 7 p.m. Saturday when a motorist in the area of West Steele Lane and Hardies Lane flagged down a police officer to report that he had been involved in a crash.
The suspect vehicle took off when the officer attempted to stop it, reaching speeds of 60 mph and running several red lights as the chase continued south on Dutton Avenue from Guerneville Road.
The driver was arrested after he stopped on Boyce Street. He was the only person in the vehicle, police said.
