A Tuesday morning crash on Silverado Trail north of Napa killed one woman and injured two others, according to the Napa CHP.

Silverado Trail between Trancas Street and Oak Knoll Avenue was closed for about two hours while the CHP investigated the 7 a.m. crash.

Anna Liza Ricalde Cumpas, 26, of Napa died at the scene, said Officer Anna Paulson. She appeared to be driving home from work when the crash occurred, Sgt. William Bradshaw said.

She was headed southbound on Silverado Trail at an unknown speed when her 2007 Honda Civic drifted across the double yellow lines and into the path of an oncoming 1998 Mitsubishi Montero, the CHP said. It's unclear what caused her car to drift, though the CHP does not believe that alcohol or speeding played a role.

"We can speculate that she was possibly sleeping or fatigued," Bradshaw said, but added that other factors could have contributed.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, as well as his passenger, were taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries. The driver was identified as Luis Panales Loredo, 50, of Napa; his passenger as Jorge Lavaratte, 30, of Napa.
