Santa Rosa police arrested 10 people Saturday who had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court or violating probation.

The operation was part of a program funded in part by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. Police attempted to serve dozens of warrants throughout Santa Rosa, according to a statement.

One suspect was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin, police said.

The operation focused on suspects who had failed to show up for a court date or were suspected of violating terms of an outstanding DUI case or driving on a suspended license.

Police said the suspects face additional jail time if they are found to be in violation of the terms of their probation or to have failed to show up for a court date.
