Petaluma police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Redwood Credit Union branch on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the man walked into the Redwood Credit Union branch at 301 N. McDowell Blvd. shortly before 2 p.m. and presented a note to a teller. A police spokesman said he believed the man got away with about $1,000.
The suspect was described as Latino, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, with dark eyes and dark hair. He was wearing a striped black and gray beanie, gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes and was last seen walking through the Plaza North Shopping Center. Police said no weapon or vehicle was seen.
Police asked anyone with information about the suspect to call Detective Tami Shoemaker at 778-4372.
