Two men were robbed at gunpoint late Friday night in northwest Santa Rosa, police said.

The victims were getting out of their car near the dead end of Apache Street at about 9:15 p.m. Friday when two men approached them, demanding their wallets and cell phones, police said. One of the men was carrying a handgun.

The suspects then fled north toward the train tracks at the end of Apache Street, police said. Santa Rosa officers and a police dog searched the area for the suspects, but they were not found. They recovered a wallet and cellphone belonging to the victims, police said.

An investigation is ongoing, they said.
