A woman who drove off of Highway 101 Sunday morning in Petaluma was extremely intoxicated and on probation for a prior drunken driving conviction, according to the CHP.
Officers responded to a crash off of southbound Highway 101 at Petaluma Boulevard at about 9 a.m. and found driver Nada Medrano, 51, in a Toyota van on the shoulder.
The Rohnert Park resident failed sobriety tests and a preliminary exam indicated she could be about three times over the legal limit, CHP Officer Jon Sloat said.
She was arrested on suspicion of driving while drunk and booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
Medrano was convicted in 2011 of DUI and still was on probation, Sloat said.
