Student films to be shown in Sebastopol on Thursday

Films created by students from at least eight Sonoma County high schools will be featured at the Sonoma County Youth Film Festival on Thursday night in Sebastopol.

Schools with films featured include El Molino, Analy, Healdsburg, Rancho Cotate, Windsor, Montgomery, Casa Grande and Sonoma Valley.

Genres will include drama, comedy and public service announcements, according to organizers.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and is being produced by the El Molino digital marketing class.

The screenings will be held at the Rialto Cinemas, 6868 McKinley Ave.

Tickets are $5 at the door. The films are appropriate for all ages, organizers said.
