A kangaroo court

  • Sonoma County Supervisor Efren Carrillo, center, and his defense attorneys Chris Andrian, left, and Jane Gaskell, prepare to exit the courtroom after hearing that the jury remained deadlocked and will return to deliberate on Monday in his peeking trial. (Christopher Chung/ The Press Democrat)

EDITOR: Now that the real judge and jury have found Efren Carrillo not guilty, Supervisor Shirlee Zane has set up a kangaroo court of her own at the board chambers. She has condemned Carrillo to resign, claiming she can't work with him any longer. Since he was elected just like she was, maybe it's Zane who should resign.
