A Santa Rosa man was arraigned Thursday in a fatal pedestrian crash that killed an 81-year-old man.

Enrique Sanabria-Ruiz, 47, was charged with two felony drunken driving counts, with a great bodily injury enhancement for a victim over 70, as well as felony vehicular manslaughter in the Tuesday crash.

Earnest McGlee Slone, also of Santa Rosa, was hit as he stood outside his vintage Cadillac on Occidental Road, just west of Stony Point Road. He died of his injuries shortly afterward.

Sanabria-Ruiz is accused of hitting Slone with his Chevy pickup. He was arrested after he failed a field sobriety test.

His blood alcohol level was later measured at 0.10 percent, just over the legal limit for driving.

He appeared at his arraignment in a blue jail uniform but did not enter a plea. His next court date is May 23.

His bail remains at $150,000.
