Domaine Anderson in Philo officially opened this weekend to coincide with the Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival.
The winery, owned by the Rouzaud family, is on hillside terrain in a remote corner of Mendocino County, surrounded by the 17-acre Dach vineyard. The head winemaker is Jerry Murray.
The winery's four wines are estate bottled. For the inaugural release in 2012, Domaine Anderson produced two estate pinot noir and chardonnay wines from a blend of several parcels and two single vineyard pinot noir and chardonnay wines from specific plots.
