<strong>Cline, 2012 Ancient Vines Carignane, Contra Costa County,</strong> 15.5 percent alcohol, $16. A complex carignane with notes of dark berries, plum and chocolate. A steal for the price.
<strong>St. Gregory, 2010 Mendocino County Pinot Noir,</strong> 13.5 percent, $19. A standout with layered flavors of bright cherry and toast. Nice acidity. Balanced. Juicy. A tasty value.
<strong>Kale, 2013 Napa Valley Ros?</strong> 12.9 percent, $22. A dry ros?with bright fruit. Notes of cherry, raspberry and mineral. Seamless texture. Crisp finish. Lovely.
<strong>Ramey, 2011 Russian River Valley Chardonnay,</strong> 14.5 percent, $40. A lush chardonnay with depth. Notes of apple, pear and cr?e brulee. Lingering finish. Knockout.
<strong>La Crema, 2012 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir,</strong> 14.5 percent, $50. A lovely, floral pinot noir with aromas and flavors of cherry, blueberry and tea. Layered flavors. Nice length.
