A 50-year-old Healdsburg woman was killed in a mid-morning vehicle crash Wednesday on a rural road between Geyserville and Healdsburg, the CHP said.
The woman was driving eastbound on Pine Flat Road when the single vehicle crash occured.
"She was traveling down the roadway at a high rate of speed," when her vehicle left the road, went down a slight embankment and rolled over multiple times in a vineyard, CHP Officer Sean Laurie said.
"There was a witness who observed it and said she went off the roadway and began rolling and rolling and rolling," Laurie said.
The woman, whose name was being witheld so her family could be notified, was ejected. She was not wearing a seatbelt, Laurie said. When emergency crews arrived the woman was still alive, but she was pronounced dead soon after at the scene.
There was no alcohol found at the scene, Laurie said.
The crash was reported at 9:48 a.m. at 3700 Pine Flat Road. No other vehicles or people were involved.
