A Santa Rosa man who is suspected of speeding and felony DUI was jailed after causing an early-morning crash on Highway 101 early Wednesday, the CHP said.
Isaac Rush, 27, was speeding northbound on Highway 101 at about 3:15 a.m. when he veered into the middle lane near Todd Road, CHP Officer Steven Fricke said.
Rush's 2012 Mazda 6 struck a Volvo SUV, which was pushed into the center divider. The Volvo then spun out and stopped in the left lane, Fricke said.
Rush's car continued off the road and into a ditch.
"Alcohol is suspected to be a factor," Fricke said.
Rush was uninjured, but the driver of the Volvo was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital complaining of pain. The possibility of injuries elevated the offense Rush is suspected of to the level of a felony, Fricke said.
Further information about the driver of the Volvo was unavailable Wednesday morning.
