PC: Copperfield's Used and Rare bookstore manager Brandy Mow readies new titles for the shelves of the Sebastopol store.

Copperfield's Books will be closing its Used and Rare bookstore in Sebastopol on Jan. 25, a spokeswoman said.

The company announced that it was looking for a new home for the used books store in September, after the landlord sought to increase its rent.

"We'll be looking for a new place to re-open, but since one isn't immediately available, we don't know when that will be," said Vicki DeArmon, marketing director for Copperfield's Books.

The store will have a moving sale from Jan. 11-24, and then will move the remaining inventory to the Petaluma Used and Rare store, DeArmon said.
