Tony and Kim Bertotti recently relocated their long-standing landscaping business from Novato to a 52-acre farm along Adobe Road in Petaluma and opened their own nursery to provide plant material for their own jobs. But they're also a retail and wholesale nursery with a focus on native plants.
Visitors will find 600 different types of plants in 1-gallon- to 24-inch-box-size trees and shrubs, everything from ceanothus and manzanita to flowering currant and carpenteria. Everything is easily laid out in an open field beside a big farmhouse that serves as the Bertottis' offices. The nursery grows 75 percent of its own plant material.
2425 Adobe Road, Petaluma; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 559-7077.
