KENWOOD: Bastille Day at Chateau St. Jean

Francophiles, there's a Bastille Day celebration Sunday at Kenwood's Chateau St. Jean. Here you'll taste classic Bordeaux-style wines, graze on French-inspired bites and keep tempo with live music by the Haute Flash Quartet. If you purchase a "flight and bite" tasting, you'll receive a Chateau St. Jean beret. It's $20, and reservations are available at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. For more information, call 833-4134. SANTA ROSA: Happy hour makeover for Spinster Sisters

The Spinster Sisters has launched a new happy hour menu featuring discounted sips and bites from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.

Drinks range from local tap beers for $3 to White Sangria and Konichiwa (sake, matcha, lemon) for $5. Among the savory bites created by Chef Liza Hinman are the Chicken Satay Skewers, Lamb Meatball Sliders and Curry Fries, $2 each.

SONOMA: Catalan Festival rich with education, dance

Tapas, paella and flamenco dancing — the 21st annual Catalan Festival will be hosted at Sonoma's Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards July 20 and 21. There will be wine tasting, cooking demonstrations and educational seminars as well as a festive grape stomp. The fee is $65. For more information, visit gloriaferrer.com.
