A Sonoma Valley woman on probation from a drunken driving conviction was in custody Monday after being suspected of a drunken driving crash into another car, reported Sonoma police.

The Sunday evening collision was at 5th Street West and West McArthur Street.

At about 6:50 p.m. driver Karin C. Brown, 44, rear-ended a car stopped at an intersection stop sign, reported Sonoma Police Chief Bret Sackett.

The other driver was taken to Sonoma Valley Hospital for treatment for what were reportedly minor injuries.

Brown's car ended up in roadside bushes. She was not injured.

Officers arrested Brown on suspicion of DUI and violating her probation. Her preliminary blood-alcohol level was .16, double the legal limit allowed for driving, reported Sackett.

Brown was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and released Monday morning after posting bail.
