Two arrested after 100-mph Lower Lake pursuit

A Clearlake pair were arrested following a car chase that reached speeds of more than 100 mph on Lower Lake's main street, ending when the car crashed into a tree, police said Wednesday.

David Row, 30, and Heather Kimbrough, 25, were arrested Tuesday after they were treated at St. Helena Hospital in Clearlake for minor injuries, police said.

Police said the incident began at about 4 p.m. after a Clearlake detective spotted Row in the passsenger seat of a car at Tower Mart in Lower Lake. Row is on parole and had a warrant out for his arrest.

Police said the driver of the car, later identified as Kimbrough, attempted to evade officers by speeding on Main Street and onto Lake Street, where the car crashed into the tree and caught fire.

Kimbrough was booked into Lake County Jail on suspicion of evading with wanton and willful disregard for public safety in a motor vehicle and driving on a suspended license. Row was booked on the outstanding warrant.
