A 29-year-old Clearlake man was killed in a single-car crash early Saturday, the CHP said.
The crash happened just after midnight on Highway 29 in Lower Lake, north of Marsh View Way.
The man, whose name was not released, was northbound in a 2012 Chevy Malibu when for unknown reasons he drove off the right shoulder and hit a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers were investigating the cause. The man was not wearing a seatbelt, the CHP said.
