Lake County authorities eradicated 6,206 marijuana plants from two separate locations in the Middletown area this week.
The larger of the growing operations, representing 3,984 plants, was discovered by aerial surveillance in an area known as Black Oak, which is near Butts Canyon Road, the Lake County Sheriff's Department reported.
The other operation, where 2,222 marijuana plants were destroyed, was in area known as Dog Rock, off of Dry Creek Road.
No arrests were made.
The Lake County Sheriff's Narcotics Task Force has eradicated 128,349 marijuana plants this year. It has seized 421 pounds of processed marijuana and 76 firearms, and made 42 arrests. It has seized $51,596 for asset forfeiture.
