Authorities looking for pickup spotted near Kelseyville slaying scene

Detectives looking into the fatal shooting of a Kelseyville convenience store clerk during a robbery seek help identifying anyone associated with a pickup seen in the area.

Lake County sheriff's detectives said a dark Dodge Dakota was seen in the area of the Konocti Gas and Mart Friday night, around the time of the incident.

The clerk, Forrest Seagrave, 33, was shot at close range.

Lake County sheriff's deputies believe a hooded person caught by the store's outdoor video surveillance camera is responsible.

The clip shows the suspect walking through the parking lot at about 10:45 p.m. and heading the other way about 20 seconds later. A face isn't visible.

On Thursday, the sheriff's office described the Dodge Dakota seen in the area as having an extended cab — not a four-door — with a body style of from 1994 to 2004.

Investigators said they want to locate the person or persons associated with the vehicle, who may have witnessed the crime.

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect.

Anyone with information can contact the sheriff's office at 263-2690.
