A toddler and a teen boy suffered major injuries Sunday in a collision that closed Highway 37 and snarled traffic, Marin CHP officials said.
The 3:40 p.m. crash occurred on Highway 37 just east of Lakeville Highway.
Driver Erinn Richards, 53, of Los Gatos was driving a 2010 Toyota Yaris and apparently failed to notice that traffic was coming to a stop ahead of her in the eastbound lanes, CHP officials said.
Richards crashed into the rear of a 2004 Nissan Sentra driven by Alejandro Rangel, 23, of Vallejo.
The impact forced the Nissan to crash into the back of a stopped 2013 Toyota Camry driven by Sandra Arendell, 66, of Grass Valley, the CHP said.
Suffering major injuries, a 2-year-old boy was flown to Oakland Children's Hospital and a 16-year-old boy was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa.
Officers diverted eastbound traffic to a wide center divider, and all lanes were clear by 5 p.m., officials said.
