A 28-year-old Sonoma man was being held at the Sonoma County Jail without bail Sunday after he reportedly threatened his parents with a firearm, Sonoma County Sheriff's Officials said.
Authorities were called to 19355 Orange Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday on a report that Sam Heyerly had threatened his family, Lt. Bret Sackett said.
Heyerly apparently refused to exit a trailer when deputies tried to contact him, Sackett said.
The sheriff's SWAT unit was deployed to the address because of Heyerly's prior criminal history with firearms and threats to law enforcement, Sackett said.
Heyerly came out of the trailer after the SWAT team drove an armored tank up to the structure trailer and called for him to comply.
Heyerly was arrested on suspicion of threatening to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury, resisting arrest and violating probation, Sackett said.
